As a designer, Carla creates contemporary gilded art for walls and surfaces, investing her pieces with a luxurious charisma using bold patterning and sumptuous materials. Her design sensibility follows a love of colour and the handmade, embracing the beauty of imperfection. Carla utilizes traditional gilding techniques of Verre Eglomise and Chinoiserie, married with an experimental modern approach. 

During her time at a global design firm in Vancouver, Carla designed and created numerous large scale luxury installations for clientele in London, Dubai, L.A. and Vancouver. 

These days, she lives and works on S,DÁYES ( Pender Island ), traditional

lands of the WSÁNEĆ peoples.
